Position Overview
This position reports to the Head of Sales, Automation Business, Local Division Energy Industries. In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of service business (installed base) within the Energy Industries division, in line with the division strategy. Your focus will be on meeting qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. This is your chance to demonstrate your sales expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities within the installed base in Switzerland.

Main Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring a positive experience and providing technical support during sales interactions. Expand our service offerings at existing customer sites in the field of process automation while maintaining a positive customer experience as a front-end salesperson.
- Sales Execution: Enhance sales through strategic initiatives, value-based selling, target setting, and active participation in contract negotiations. Collaborate with extended sales teams to unlock new market opportunities.
- Bid Management: Manage the preparation of competitive bids and proposals, addressing technical, financial, and project aspects while identifying risks and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Process & Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal guidelines, efficient use of tools, accurate forecasting, and support for administrative and reporting processes. Maintain continuous data updates regarding your sales activities and project pipeline in the ABB CRM system (Salesforce).
Qualifications
- A vocational training/diploma in electrical engineering as an electrician/automation specialist or a university degree in electrical engineering, combined with 5-10 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management.
- Knowledge in the field of industrial automation within sectors such as power generation, chemical-pharmaceutical, waste-to-energy plants, or water and wastewater management.
- Digitally savvy for selling our digital product portfolio to installed base clients.
- A team-oriented, solution-focused approach with proficient written and oral communication skills in German and English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to analyze customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly; open, customer-oriented, goal-driven, and structured methodology in teamwork.
- Excellent knowledge of ERP and CRM software, as well as Microsoft Office. Experience in offering digital solutions and in-depth knowledge of the electrical installer market, with a keen interest in building automation.
- A proven track record in building and managing customer relationships.
- Valid Swiss category B driver's license and a Swiss work permit.
