Join Our Team as a GT Automation & Control Engineer
As one of the world’s leading players in the sector of power generation plants and components, Ansaldo Energia is a full-cycle integrated operator capable of building turnkey power plants on greenfield sites. Your Scope of Work
Your responsibilities will encompass:
Defining the technical requirements for control system hardware and electrical power sub-distribution equipment for gas turbines and their auxiliary systems.
Determining control system and bus network architectures.
Designing electrical power sub-distribution panels.
Defining suitable instrumentation solutions for temperature, pressure, level, mass/volume flow measurement, and fuel gas composition.
Designing I&C and low voltage power loops (sensors, cabling & shielding, junction boxes) for field instrumentation, drives, and actuators.
Specifying and configuring dedicated monitoring systems and associated sensors (supervision of bearings vibration, combustor flame, pulsations, and shaft speed) and integrating them within the gas turbine control system.
Customizing the automation and control system scope according to client requirements.
Preparing technical purchase specifications.
Monitoring suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Accompanying factory acceptance tests.
Supporting site erection and commissioning activities as well as hand-over to after-sales service.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
A degree in Electrical/Automation Engineering.
Professional experience in designing and executing automation systems in the field of power or process plant engineering.
Familiarity with associated design directives, codes & standards, including LV Directive (2014/35/EU) and LV switchgears (IEC 61439), with knowledge/experience in Functional Safety (IEC 61508) being an asset.
A good acquaintance with engineering tools for electrical and process automation (preferably EPLAN).
A strong commitment to delivering quality results on time and within budget.
Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Team player qualities.
Excellent command of English; proficiency in German is an advantage, and knowledge of Italian would be beneficial.
