About the Opportunity

Our site in Visp is experiencing growth, particularly with Ibex™ Solutions, our innovative biological manufacturing and development concept. We are currently seeking a Head of Buffer Media Supply, who will lead and develop a group dedicated to producing buffers and media that meet well-defined quality standards for both internal and external clients. In this role, you will balance resources against demand and adapt the team accordingly. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing costs and all related activities, including the effective use of computerized systems for the planning and supply of materials, quality management, global costing, and manufacturing execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Buffer Media Supply group as part of the leadership team
• Ensure timely and cost-efficient production of buffer and media in compliance with GMP regulations, including thorough documentation
• Align activities with key interfaces and stakeholders (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, QA, QC)
• Drive continuous improvement of production processes regarding workflow, quality, and efficiency
• Implement innovations in processes and equipment
• Support customer audits and agency inspections
• Assist with installation, qualification, and maintenance activities
• Contribute to quality assurance activities (DEVI, CAPA, FI, Changes, RA, training)

Key Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology or related fields (with equivalent experience)
• Significant leadership experience in Biopharma manufacturing
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
• Thorough understanding of business and financial processes
• Fluency in English; German is a plus
• Green Belt certification preferred
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and a structured, proactive attitude
• Open-minded and collaborative, with a strong team-oriented approach
