About the Company
ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems with capacities of up to 500 kilograms. Our company provides industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems tailored for various mission profiles, including Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo operations.
Position: Aerodynamics Engineer
As an Aerodynamics Engineer, you will play a vital role in creating innovative aerodynamic profiles using CAD and analyzing the performance of unmanned helicopter systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all design and operational requirements are met, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our aircraft.
Your Main Tasks
- Conduct aerodynamic analyses of unmanned helicopter designs using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and wind tunnel testing to assess performance under various flight conditions.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to refine helicopter designs for optimal aerodynamic efficiency, stability, and control.
- Evaluate flight performance metrics such as lift, drag, and maneuverability, offering recommendations for design enhancements based on analytical findings.
- Create and maintain aerodynamic models for simulation and analysis, ensuring accurate representation of helicopter performance characteristics.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation on aerodynamic analyses, including findings, recommendations, and technical specifications for internal and regulatory review.
- Work alongside multi-disciplinary teams, including structural engineers, control engineers, and system designers, to ensure the integrated performance of unmanned helicopter systems.
- Stay informed about advancements in aerodynamics and related technologies, incorporating best practices and innovative approaches into design processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
- Proven experience in aerodynamics analysis and design, preferably within the aerospace industry.
- Strong understanding of aerodynamics principles, fluid dynamics, and flight mechanics, with proficiency in CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM) and other simulation tools.
- Exceptional communication skills, high social competence, and a solid analytical and technical understanding.
